Can I recover encrypted EFS files from Vista hard drive

    Hi,

My laptop with Vista broke. The hard drive is good and I manage to copy many files to the new computer. However some files are encrypted in Windows. These are files from 2008 that I forgot about and I do not have exported key .

Is there a way I can recover files from EFS encryption and copy to a new computer?

    Thank you.

I know the username and the password that was using the system.
Is there a way to retrieve the EFS key from the offline hard drive?

    Thanks.

Yes, Advanced EFS Data Recovery dont mind about username and password, if you lost key or damaged just install software on another pc, insert encrypted hard drive with EFS and recovery your data.
