I have a bad day with KIS 2010
I just install the 30 days KIS 2010 trial.
KIS 2010 kicked out superantispyware free version.
KIS 2010 gave error for malwarebytes free version.
KIS 2010 freeze my computer when I start Full Scan. Gave Malfunction error.
At first, I thought because I did something wrong when I install KIS 2010. I uninstall KIS 2010 and then I install KIS 2010 again. Same thing happen???
I waste 7 hours with this piece of new release crap
.
Note: I did completely remove my previous antivirus. I'm using Vista 32 bit OS.

That is funny. I install the new KIS 2010 on my laptop with Malwarebytes and update both of them, they ran fine. My laptop is Vista 32-bit SP2 too.
I did the same for my house desktop. No problem. My house desktop is XP Professional 32-bit SP3
did you download from here?

what antivirus was that luffy, norton and mcafee never remove completly thats why kaspersky recommends [url=http://support.kaspersky.com/kis2010/install?qid=208280135]these uninstallers... regarding the installer itself it should be ok if digital signature is ok.

update: lol i was hoping some kaspersky expert would drop by and take over... luffy after searching and doing some testing seems to me your best shot is to use the Kaspersky GSI Parser to troubleshoot that. Raymond wrote an [url=http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2009/06/22/detect-incompatible-software-malware-infection-and-program-errors-with-kaspersky-gsi/]article about it, download file, scan machine and search for 'incompatible software' and outdated drivers (im assuming you dont have malware on pc). although mbam and sas are flagged as 'possibly incompatible' they are NOT known to cause that. this is not very relevant but in my scan i got 56 'possibly incompatible' entries

Thanks LunarWolf and noaccount for the information. I did use the Avira uninstaller to remove Avira AV.
I was hopping to use KIS 2010 firewall for camping. That's ok. I uninstall KIS 2010 already. I use a-squared anti-malware with Outpost firewall free version.

@ luffy: good combo. I have had nothing but grief from KIS. Avira and/or A-squared will serve you fine as long as you have either OA or Comodo as a firewall. Malwarebytes is an excellent choice for an 'on-demand' scanner to add to your suite.

thanks for the tip noaccount
offtopic:
I like to call KAV , the anti-virus which BEGS ! two weeks before , the expiration of my KAV license, it started begging me to active a new license . It doesn't stop with just asking once per day.
It used to ask at every login, user switching, and hell even after every hibernation and waking up from sleep mode ! that's the height of begging !
I can understand if i'm using a trial version, but for a commercial I expect it to be better.
And when i saw a hide option, I thought finally i'd get some relief, but it was back after a restart

My only issue with KIS 2010 is "slow browsing experience".For me KAV is enough.

This is true. But the worst is the very slow scanning speed.

KIS 2010 gave error for malwarebytes free version.
vbAccelerator SGrid II Control / Run-Time error '0'
Malwarebytes' Auto-Malware / Run-Time error '440'
I already sent the error to Kaspersky in the contact form. I just wonder if they're going to fix it, or just ignore it?

Looks like browsing speed problem is there for all KIS users, but I never encountered slowness with full scan.
