Kaspersky 2010, alternatives please

I upgraded to 2010 from 2009, and all its done is make me work alot harder to get .exe files to work,-slow down my laptop, -become unresponsive etc etc.
It as got to go big time, last year i had comodo av and firewall is it still anygood,or could you lot give me some suggestions pros and cons on the best out there today, thanks for your time.

Everything is on default, also i done a repair install and set it to "i will make my own decisions" looks like a load of bloat to me.

iam using KIS 2010 at the mo but never encounter a problem, try to uninstall it, i mean clean everything registry and so on then install it fresh,

about your exe files, did you only downloaded it or you bought it? if the kis found that the exe files that you want to open has or its a virus it will not open at all but ifyou trust the file you want to open you should exclude it in kis settings,

seems same problem i saw in another thread.. sorry forget where it is.. i just read and read... anyway, he seems to have problem kaspersky as he upgraded it from kis 2009 to 2010. i suggest you go with the suggestion of ding-dong. uninstall and then reinstal it again..

Well, OA is powerful, though buggy under Windows 7. Avira Free's the best free A/V out there (and with ClickOff the ad's blocked)... you've got the best of all worlds there!

avast home edition is very good and free!
