Hey, I did mention about this some time back here but back then no one replied to my post. I guess they missed it..hehehe.

Gizmo's Freeware Security Wizard is indeed a very useful online service. If you are unsure of what free security apps are suitable for you (and your PC), then this is one of the best place to go to seek 'advice'...apart from this forum of course.

The wizard is too short. And I don't want to turn on User Account Control. Never.

"Based on your answers you have been rated as an experienced technical user of Windows 2000/XP who engages in high risk computer activities. As a high risk user your PC needs very solid protection so we have recommended products that will provide that protection that are also appropriate to your skill level.
However we strongly suggest that you also consider reducing your overall risk level by following the safe computing practices outlined at the end of this page."

My setup is similar to yours Shan except for the fact I'm running Avira...and I don't use Google Preview...I can run a PC without AV with no problems last time but experience tells me that it doesn't hurt to have one that's resource-friendly and effective. And now that I'm downloading stuffs from 'unknown' places, I need to be slightly more careful...
