    Support or Against Iobit

Well, we all know about the Iobit-Malwarebytes issue and I have seen people arguing over the topic...whether or not Iobit company (and their products) can be trusted...

Some say YES..."innocent till proven guilty"

While others say NO...."there's enough evidence that shows Iobit is guilty"

So, now I want to know how many of us here are supporters of Iobit and how many are against Iobit. This is the reason for this thread...and poll. Please participate and indicate WHY you are supporting/against Iobit.

P.S. I request moderators don't mind this thread (please don't lock this thread) and let members debate about this issue...

I will still support and use Iobit products. For me it is not fair boycotting Iobit who have done very good for years just because of the recent issue. Everybody makes mistake, whether it is really coincidence for the developer to forget changing the "signature file name" 2x from the customer report. This is just like the Microsoft's recent issue with the open-source code.. Will you be against Microsoft and change to Ubuntu now instead after they 'steal' the code? I dont think so..

However for me, judging from their posts in their public blog, I think this is not coincidence, they really steal it. But still, Im not migrating my ASCPro to CCleaner

I am of the opinion that iobit did "borrow" the database from malwarebytes because they needed there malware software to be the best,a little while back iobit announced they are to hold a competition to see which anit-virus was the best and urged people to compare there product with all the others, there was prize money to be won but they had one problem, there security solution 360 was just no good couldnt detect a virus even if someone with a cold sneezed all over it,so to get round this they decided to "borrow" some samples from elsewhere, and now there 360 software was getting good marks. But since all this has blew up in there face the competition has been closed and iobit deleted half of there database which just goes to show how little 360s database was to begin with.

I seldom use xp anymore. I use Win 7 about 99% percent of the time.

Wtih that being said I have used Iobit products (Smart Defrag and Advanced System Care). Those two products did my system good. No complaints. I have not used them with Win7 yet, dont know if I will. I want to see what and how the my system will behave just using the built-in features of Win7 (so far so good). Win7 maintainces features seem to be alot better then Xp's.

Like Someone said. No need to stop useing Iobit because of what they did or did not do.
Same deal with Microsoft and the source code. If I hold something against Iobit then I should do the same with Microsoft. Should stop using my microsoft products and uninstall them?(No).

Same thing if I go to the grocery store and buy a loaf of bread and it turns out to be stale---should I stop shopping there because of one stale loaf of bread. LoL

    Just my 2 cents....

    Good topic by the way....

I will lock this thread if it becomes a heated argument.
Why do we need to debate over this anyway? People who wants to use IObit products, continue doing so. Those that don't want, then don't.

Oops, I shouldn't have said the word 'debated'...

'discuss' would be a better term instead...and yeah, you are right, there is no need to debate about this BUT unfortunately it is happening on another thread...that's the reason why this threat is started...to provide a place for 'haters' to tell us their reasons for going against Iobit and for for 'supporters' to tell us why they support Iobit...that's all.

P.S. I'm neutral...I neither support nor against Iobit...

I am still going to use ASC Pro. Its the best as far as system care/cleaning goes, and everybody makes mistakes, thus the thanksgiving offer for free asc pro, (when it materialises), obviously realised what they have done, and are sorry. But even if thats not the case, ill still use it.
We all have freedom of choice, thankfully.

Have found 10 Bit products very effective so I'll continue to use them.
