Are you sure it is compatible with Windows 7?
Version History - Shared Computer Toolkit 1.0, released in 2005.
- Windows SteadyState 2.0, released in June 2007, supports Windows XP SP2 Home, Professional, and Tablet editions.
- Windows SteadyState 2.5, released in July 2008, adds support for Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3

Compatibility Mode isn't flawless, so by the sounds of it, motupa, you've got to wait until it is upgraded to run on Windows 7.

well i searched and am getting the idea that this disabling of the switch user button also happens when other people used it on vista xp so its not a malfunction of the software, but rather a function or what ever you call it of windows steady state, i just need a way to make it possible to keep the switch user option

I'm bumping this post because I was looking into using SteadyState on Win7 in a Guest account and I found out that it still does not support Win7 up till this day...
Anyone knows of a workaround or a free alternative (DeepFreeze isn't free)...and please don't mention Returnil (I know that)...
