    Rapidshare hits hard

    rapidshare hits(and hit) hard, Reasons:

1.rapidshare has reduced the download limit for premium customers from 300GB to 80GB thats ~2.4gb per day, for a fast connection its way too low.

2.i've noticed that the free user slots of rapidshare are hard to get, i'm always annoyed with a "no slot for free users" and i guess everyone have faced it
but recently its been more annoying

3.and the storage limit for files in collector zone has been reduced from 90days to 60days, same for premium customers with 50gb storage
so i came to a conclusion that rapidshare has come to a financial crisis(correct me if i'm wrong)

*no matter what because of these reasons it will lose its valuable customers

That is a very stupid move of rapidshare if they want to make users buy their premium account. They gonna loose many customers.

I agree with. You Rapidshare is or was a good site to download stuff. My guess is they need profit to keep the site running well. I will certainly still download from Rapidshare as it is very good for the things i download.

Truth be told...I have downloaded from rapidshare as a free user successfully three times only so far...I had to use premium link generators. I have never been a 'fan' of Rapidshare...but I have no choice, everyone else thinks its the best file-hosting site...I prefer MediaFire. With Mediafire, it doesn't limit me to downloading only once a day...

In short, whether rapidshare hits hard or not, it doesn't affect me...I'm least bothered by it...

im not a fan of rapidshare..normally i skip rapidshare downloads if i have another choice...
i usually use big and free, and megaupload...
i do not know why people like rapidshare.... living in australia rapidshare barley has any waiting slots, since most of the people in america uses rapidshare and its GMT+10 in australia..so if i download at night it means early morning in US....

Megaupload and Mediafile are good for downloading better then rapidshare. They are all the same to me.

Megaupload is not bad but it still is one of the 'offenders' when it comes to free users...

Contrary to beliefs, for a file-hosting company, if you put on too much limitations on your services, don't expect users to pay for premium...truth be told, users don't like to be 'forced'..so don't do it that way...make us like your service and we'll pay for it willingly. Rapidshare (and many others) has got to realize that...or see their end sooner than they expect...

the reason i liked rapidshare is because they don't have annoying ads pop up in their site. but if they lose valuable customers they'll have to go to their old way of having ads...

I would rather take ads and pop-up than this message:

"Sorry, your IP address is downloading something..please wait till next lifetime (if you reincarnated of course) in order to download that piece of crap you really want"

Anyway, why complain about ads when there are ad-blockers such as AdBlock Plus?
