    Computer not BOOTING UP.

Greetings to all. My computer doesn't start. All the fans are running but it fails to take me to my desktop. When I power it on it shows things such as " Start Windows Normally, Use the Last known configurations", etc. It then shows a blue screen saying it is checking for errors, sometimes it just freezes here during the sysytem check process. In other cases it freezes when it is just promising to start, e.g. on the screen where it says " logging in to windows". There are lights on the case and the fans are running too. What could be the cause of all this? Please help. Thanks to all of you, and really do value your opinions, however small or big they are.

First we have to determine if it is a hardware or software problem.
Try to boot in to Safe Mode.
Boot up the computer and start tapping F8 until you see an advanced boot menu.
Select Safe Mode and see if that would bring you in to Windows.

Have you tried booting using the "Last Known Good Configuration" option...I did that last time and it worked fine for me...

Here's Microsoft Support Centre explanation on it:

Try replacing RAM,and check your SMPS,most probably its a RAM issue bcoz you are getting BSOD,Read carefully what Raymond has written,He has ample of experience,
Can you post a full configuration of your rig including the soft installed
But according to me most probably its a RAM issue

doubt its ram ,unless your bsod error msg is saying Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area .

Sounds like Hd or driver issue

yap i suggest you go with what raymond suggested you should do. and also you can try removing your memory card and/or video card and try to clean the tip of it with an eraser. to test if the problem is related to those two, and afterwards just put it back to the slots. but if you are not familiar with this process i suggest you never do it.
Make the best of what you have, while doing your best for the future. It's better that way..
