Honestly, I don't know but the easiest way I'm used to doing is to use Wubi...I'm not sure if it works with X64 though cause I'm using 32-bit....

follow instructions here.its for 32bit but should work for 64bit.

yes i have tried linux.i use it regularly now.i use with seven as dual boot.
