Windows 7 and Media streaming/playing
I have as Sony VAIO VGN FZ31Z which I have recently updated to Windows 7 from Vista. Since updating I have had the the following problems:
1. i-tunes will not play any music, it will synchronise and download
2. Real player will not play any music
3. Some streaming content will not play in Widows 7. The most important for me is the ICC Chess club. On this site I can hear the sounds of pieces being moved but no commentary on games from Chess FM. I have tried streaming this content directly from the website but this did not work either.
4. I use Google Chrome as a browser.
5. I can no longer us the volume control button on the laptop to adjust volume.
All these worked perfectly in Vista. I have tried looking on the net for a solution but am not sufficiently computer literate to know precisely what I should be looking for. Windows says that my sound card has the very latest driver available.
I would be grateful for any help that you can give.

Didn't you install and run the Windows Upgrade Advisory before you upgraded to Win7?
It sounds like driver problem. Try to roll your sound-card driver back to previous version. Safer way is, to check your Sony VAIO site and download the appropriate sound-card driver.
This is a very quick google; may or may not be the site: http://b2b.sony.com/b2bMicrosites/landingpage/vaio_drivers/download_vaio_drivers.html

Drivers
Thanks for this. I have checked the drive and am informed that it is the latest available. I will try and roll this back.
Your link unfortunately for me does not work as I am in the UK.
The driver appears to be the original one with the machine and can't be rolled back. I would be grateful if anyone has any other ideas.
