partitioning and the registry
I want to partition my 500 gig C drive into C and D drives. If I have an app that was originally on C, but moved to D, is there a partioning software that will automatically adjust the registry entries so that the app will load and work properly?
I'm specifcallhy interested in the Easus Partition Manager Pro that was given away yesterdayh on GAOTD.

Pc Wizkid & Programmer :)
just change the path in the registry ,ie "C:\program files\my prog\app.exe" to "D:\where ever"
if u tell me what app it is u using and the new location of the app ,then ill show u which entry to change!
Out of my mind. I Haven't Lost My Mind, It's Backed Up On Disk Somewhere.

Thanks, tangomouse, for replying.
I know how to backup the registry and search for entries, and change most values, but I'm don't understand binary files. As a made-up example:
0000 32 44 etc f.i.r.e.
0058 66 32 etc f.o.x..
I can change f.i.r.e and f.o.x.., but I don't understand what the numbers are or what to change them to.
I'm hoping to find a partitioning manager that will do the whole box of wax (bag of bytes? :>) for me. It would be a lot safer....
Thanks again.

It seems to me as if it would be better for you guys to stay clear of editing registry entries. I don't know of a program that would automatically change registry entries when moving an application from one drive to another.
Personally I'm of the opinion that it would be much safer and less troublesome to just reinstall the application on your D drive.

move the application back to C:. it hardly takes a minute..
I would suggest do not play with registry..
