    Partition Hard Disk

    My cousin just got a laptop with 500gb hdd space. Unfortunately, it only have 3 drive. C, D and which are 449gb, 16.2gb (ony 2.62gb free) and 99mb respectively.

    He ask to to break his c to make it 100gb and 349gb.

    EDIT : He said he don't mind me installaing in any program.

    Windows 7 and Vista has a built - in partitioning tool. I never used it though. I prefer EASEUS.

    yes windows has a built in tool.its here

    Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer management->Disk Management.

    Lunar, if your OS has no built-on partition tool:

    Download and install Easeus Partition Manager free

    Fire up EPM and shrink C:\ to 100 Gb, (or 349 Gb, depending on how big he wants his primary active partition).

    That being done he will have an unallocated spave of 349 Gb (or 100 Gb), which he can convert into a new partition by using XP's disk management tool.

    I hate Easeus but thats me
    How do I do that without installaing any program?
    Well Live Distros, etc., do fit in this category but i guess you're looking for

    I have install Easeus, but I don't know how to create partition from my c drive.

    Nevermind. After playing around with it, I know how to do it.

    Thanks to rnbv424140 for recommending EASEUS.
