    world's fastest browser:Opera 10.5

    well here........http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9156878/Opera_10.5_grabs_browser_speed_crown

Opera Software's beta of Opera 10.5 leapfrogged every rival to become the world's fastest browser, benchmark tests show.

Released on Thursday and powered by a new JavaScript engine, Opera 10.5 beat all comers to easily take the top speed spot.

According to tests run by Computerworld, Opera 10.5 was nearly 15% faster than Safari for Windows and almost 20% faster than Google's Chrome, the previous No. 1 and No. 2 browsers. Opera's preview was more than twice as fast as Mozilla's Firefox 3.6, over eight times faster than Opera 10.10, and 10 times faster than Microsoft's Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).

I can't get ABP to work on Opera. How about you?

I have been using Opera for quite a while and it is improving all the time. Probably one of the safest browsers around (apart from being one of the fastest). The days that Opera could not open websites which other browsers could are long gone.

Opera has been my default browser since soon after it became free. I've tried all the rest, but none have impressed me enough to switch. A Guy

while I have a few browser installed, usually Opera browser is my choice.I am not so care of the test result, but I found that Opera is more suitable to my needs.Although Chrome might be a good contestant, but simply I prefer Opera.I think one of the reason is that I have used opera for almost a decade now.I use IE too, when I want to download something from microsoft, but that's rarely happen.

I used Opera for a very long time, right from the days of v3. Have used IE to only open those sites that Opera couldn't render correctly. Currently I am using FireFox, which though very nice with its add-ons, is one of the slowest browsers around. I haven't shifted back to Opera only because of add-ons like 'DownThemAll' and 'DownloadHelper'. Else I would have jumped ship long back.

Definitely Opera. I didn’t try yet 10.5, but if it’s faster then 10.10 it’s just another reason to keep with Opera . IE8 for the sites where Opera has difficulties.

I don't know why but I have tested Opera 10 and 10.5 beta and there are certain sites that may be a split second faster than firefox but on a whole, it didn't seem that much faster. It surely didn't seem fast enough to make me want to switch over.

With that said, I would switch over today if Opera had the functionality that firefox has just from the add-ons. Even Google chrome with the newly available extensions does not have the quality and selection of add-ons that firefox has. Maybe some day it will but for now, for me, I am sticking with Firefox.
