    Best Library Based Music Player

So I'm looking for a library based music player with rather unorthodox specs.

    • Has to play Ogg or MP3 but can't just play MP3
    • Can't be Apple

    So iTunes is a 'god-no'.

I was thinking WinAmp or Songbird, any input on the matter?

MediaMonkey didn't do the job last time, that's why I'm not debating about it.

+1 for MM. Another pretty good one is MusicBee-
    http://www.getmusicbee.com/
    http://www.jetaudio.com/products/jetaudio/

I currently am pretty satisfied with MediaMonkey and AIMP2.

For a fairly comprehensive list, I made a poll over at Wilders a few weeks back at the link here-

I think the one major player forgot to be put in the poll is Helium-

Helium is a nice player but I did not like the looks of it and decided on MM with a different skin

Also there is a very good article and posts on Gizmo's site-

I refuse to use MediaMonkey.. it doesn't read my tags on my songs, hence why it's the two choices up there. Haven't tried MusicBee, though, it might be an alternative... can it handle Ogg?

What about AIMP? Did you try it? It's a good alternative I think...

AIMP2 is my current player, it supports libraries, yes, but not as well as the ones I'm debating about.

I do not know if Spider Player free http://spider-player.com/ might meet your needs.

However is lighter than WinAmp, doen's install any undesiderable software and supports many formats

Some of you are misunderstanding what I mean by Library player.... Spider Player and AIMP2 are Playlist players, they might appear to be what I'm looking for, but it's not what I want, thanks.
