    Vodafone Content Control Blocks Raymonds

I had the pleasure Of Installing Ubuntu 10.04 onto a friends netbook this weekend,I say pleasure because I was dreading It,last time I used Ubuntu It was a nightmare getting my 3 mobile broadbad working,so I was very happy when I rebooted the netbook after ubuntu was installed,Inserted the vodafone dongle and It was recognized straight away.I started firefox up and tried a few pages everything was fine,I then tried to go here, but vodafones content control restricted access to this site because seemingly you have to be 18 or over to visit this site.It Is easy enough to remove content control,a quick call and a credit card check(they charge you a pound from your card) and you are content control free, would be Interesting to find out what Information they used to class raymonds site as a 18 cert.

The dongle in question is a hawuai k3765 plugged it straight into ububtu and came straight up,just had to edit a connection to replace with correct user/password and apn details. When my friend bought his dongle it was about a 1 and a half years ago, back then content control was mandatory and came pre activated with every dongle, restricting sites that It thought were unsuitable for children, which I have no problem with at all,but vodafones content control to start with was a mess to say the least, blocking facebook, and a lot of other innocent sites. It may be that vodafone have changed there policy and started selling dongles with the option to activate content control instead of been forced to jump through hoops to unactivate It.
