No headphone output on laptop?
Hi all, I am wondering why my relatively new Dell Presision m4400 has a problem when I put headphones into the sockets : no sound comes through. The speakers are fine ( apart from the irritating popping sound it makes) , but any headphone that goes into it does not work for some reason. I have tried this with several different headphones and headsets. The mic jack/socket works fine but the headphone doesnt. Only if i pull it out and twist it i hear some noises but who can be bothered to hold a headphone jack halfway through the socket all the time?
any help would be appreciated thanks

If not then try changing the output hardware setting in sounds in control panel,, some time it just dont change from analog to headphone automatically....
