That page file story is an old story, check the following value is zero (0) for disabled
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
Value Name: ClearPageFileAtShutdown
Value: 0
Regarding high number of events in log, use filtering... display in log only the events for the last 7 days, with event ID's 200, 201, 203 that should give you ~7-14 entries, search for the relevant days... your answer is in front of you

I just now checked that Registry Key, and the value is 1, if I change the value to 0 will it have any negative effect on my PC?
And also what is the default value of that registry key 1 or 0?

0 is default, yes, do toggle it and see if that solves problem. PM also sent (only noticed this post right now).

Seemes like something changed your ClearPageFileAtShutdown registry setting...
It should be turned off (and that's the default)on most home user PCs as it slows down the process of shutting down the PC. It's only to be turned on for privacy-related reasons...

Consider yourself lucky that we've got JayClub and noaccount around here to help...I wouldn't have thought of it myself if they hadn't mention it. Guess I have to keep this in mind as one of the few possible reasons/factors next time I come across a "slow shutdown" problem myself...
They call me the mysterious one...
my motto is...when it's hot, chill baby

@safeguy
Yeah I really was lucky on fixing the issue related slow shut down, and that only with the help of the raymond community, I myself also would have never thought that the issue was related to the registry changes especially the above mentioned one, I will also keep this in mind maybe for future use.
Again thank you all here.

It's one of those things were it's hit and miss.... I was thinking of it because I've enabled it in the past, but I wasn't thinking Alpha1 would have it enabled.
But it's good it was narrowed down so fast.
