Any edit.com alternative to Win7 x64?
I can't run edit command in command prompt in Win7 x64 as edit.com is not compatible to x64. So any way out?

edit is a MS DOS command (MS DOS Editor) which is not available in Windows 7 x64.

You may try notepad + as an alternative

I believe notepad++, vi, and a couple of hex editors are around. For windows, a search on notepad replacements will give you a bunch of results.
If you're looking for a DOS/command level replacement, the only one I've used is vi (for DOS).

FYI
I added an entry in the free software thread about vi.
