pls help me.....tell any software or method to figure out what is the problem
Did you try going to sounds on the control panel and re-configuring? Are you saying you don't get "systems" sounds?
Verify that the speakers are plugged into the corrrect pin.
First look what any said above that the speakers are plugged in or not. Then open devmgmt.msc from run and look there for you audio device. Another way you can type sndvol32.exe for your audio control window. But first make sure you device is working.
Hi cybercop as you mentioned after a reformat that your speakers where not working so this implies that they where ok beforehand.. i have had a problem similar to yours with the realteck drivers, try removing the new driver you downloaded and look for an earlier version of the driver and see if that solves the problem after following the advice above..
When you have your all your drivers udated back them up and the next time you reformat at least you know you will have all working drivers to start with
I have ever encountered that problem before with my XP SP3, just like the 5 screenshots you provided. A simple reboot did fix my problem that time..
Try to disable and uninstall your audio drivers first from Device Manager before you install a new one. Make sure you have downloaded the drivers specifically for your models. Much safer, if you can install from the "cd drivers" given (if any).
@cybercop: Have you tried Microsoft Update? Manually run it and check drivers it finds during scan. Also, use Unknown Devices (1.4) and post here the info.
