ACER HELL plz help
hi all this is my first post here so please bare with me
got an acer aspire 6920 with vista pr installed i broke the screen and had to send it off to insurers so obviously cleaned everything out before sending it now its back i want to wipe it back to factory settings but havin a nightmare
insert recovery disk erecovery starts users backup is blacked out so use restore from factory default starts restore on partition 1 then restore fails reason 0xa000000e then have to restart system
alt f10 function doesnt work
ive tried partedit to fix the mbr it wont start say error 5 and wont run
tried macrium :
1 - acer primary 13g 85.96 mb used
2 -acer c
3 - data
4 - no name 3.543g used
doesnt show any pqservice to backup
ive made a backup of 1 and 4 nothing in 1 it says but theres loads of windows files in 4
dont know what to do now any help would be greatly appreciated

Personally, I would also try a full re-format of your HDD before attempting to do a clean install.
There may be a bit of snow on the roof, but there is still a fire blazing in the hearth!

to get the F10 function to work download easy Bcd ,open it and select restore bcd ,browse to the recover partition and then select the boot folder ,and look for a file that ends with .bcd ,load that and restore it ,now F10 will work
If the recovery partition is hidden then download paragon hard drive backup ,run that and you will see the recovery partition ,all you need to do is assign a drive letter to that hidden partition ,this is only temp but it will allow u to load the bcd and restore it
Out of my mind. I Haven't Lost My Mind, It's Backed Up On Disk Somewhere.
