Hi putingcow you can try HideMyAss! Pro VPN .
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

A good free alternative would be UltraVPN.

    Screw Google! Ask me!

I am putting together an article on free VPN's which I should get around to finishing sometime in the next month or so.

With regard to those already mentioned:

Hotspot Shield: I use Firefox and I have never seen an add when using this.
ProXPN: Has a limited bandwidth but is still one of the best for browsing.
UltraVPN: Has been down for about a month and appears to be finished.

Unless you are particular about where the server is try this:

    https://accounts.comodo.com/trustcon...agement/signup

The free service only offers the server nearest to your location.

Anchorfree Hotpot shield is actually adware

    http://www.mywot.com/scorecard/anchorfree.com (read the comments)

    http://hosts-file.net/?s=anchorfree.com

EMD - sites engaged in malware distribution

This classification is assigned to website's engaged in the distribution of malware (e.g. adware, spyware, trojans and viruses etc).

Sites with this classification typically either contain files (e.g. cracks, keygens, adware, spyware, trojans, viruses et al) or lead to such via (for example) "fake scanners" or other social engineering and misleading tactics. This includes the activities of rogue Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that host other sites to which the EMD classification applies.

Most free VPNs include some form of advertising in a way or another. It's your choice to pick which one is the most reasonable to use from the many. I've had fun with a few in the past but I can't remember which ones I favor since it has been some time back. Anyway, if you're using an ad-blocker, then you may not notice those ads...

Most importantly, check user reviews and comments - WOT is just one of them. Blog reviews also help a great deal...just head up for a Google search and compare the reviews from the many bloggers...you'd find that they mention a couple of different services and share their experiences. Take note though that some services might be 'dead' or perhaps change their policies...so just be aware.
They call me the mysterious one...
