Thumbs up Bing’s U.S. search-engine market share up again in December

Microsoft’s Bing search market share grew again in the United States during the month of December.

The software giant’s “decision engine” now has 12% U.S. market share compared to Google’s 66.6% according to data from comScore. Yahoo’s market share dipped to 16% from 16.4% in November. Microsoft’s Bing search has increased its share consistently over the past few months. Bing grew faster in October than Google and Bing continues to rise in December. Bing reached an all time high of 11.8% market share in November but has improved upon the figure in December.

Thanks sujay Bing is better alternative of Google, if Bing also introduces encrypted search like Google. Until then, Bing is good only.

Thanks sujay. I usually "Google" it myself, but have been known to use Bing once in a while.

I am sceptical about this "news". No source. No numbers, no statistics, no clarity of method. As we all know, all kind of market manipulation is going on continuously in cyber space.

A recent zdnet report says that the combined search engine share of Bing and Yahoo is stuck at 28% so google hasn't lost much ground. Personally im a googler though have been known to venture to Bing from time to time.

Combined Microsoft and Yahoo U.S. search share stuck at 28 percent

I am a googler myself, I do use Bing occasionally. I also us Ixquick and Startpage, they are supposed to more private than Google or Bing.
