task manager disabled everytime i start pc

everytime when i start my pc(xp sp3), task manager is greyed out.. i enable it evertime..
but on restarting pc, it is again greyed out.. really annoyed'.. sum1 plsss help

Hi ashaypal try this link check for a virus or maleware, run malware bytes anti-maleware, sometimes this scumware disables task manager and is a real pain..

Download Hitman Pro (Activate and remove if any virus is found) & Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and make a scan. Clean your junk temporary files , browser cache, cookie. After that use Re-enable to bring back task manager.

Possible malware infestation. One of the main reason why the precious task manager is hidden is to hide the activity of foreign/malware processes and or your admin choose do it for security reason. Try to check your system for any malware anomaly, then proceed to fixing it later.
