How to uninstall Windows program with Linux?
Computer dual boot Windows XP Home and Lubuntu.
Today, I installed Returnil System Safe Pro.
http://forum.raymond.cc/personal-giveaways/29552-giveaway-returnil-system-safe-pro-2011-ulimited-license-keys-%5B72-hours%5D.html#post253648
After installed, it asked to reboot the computer. Now It freezes at the welcome screen
.
I can boot to Lubuntu just fine.
How do I uninstall this Returnil?

You can boot from a Windows PE Live environment and uninstall the program from there using third party tools (from your flash drive). Then while in Live mode, run msconfig and disable the Returnil processes at startup. Finally run this tool to remove all the drivers and processes used by Returnil. I hope this works.
But you CANNOT use Linux to uninstall Windows software. Remove the files from the directory maybe, but NEVER uninstall.

Only problem with that solution, at least as far as I can see, is that he has no access to a Windows PE disk.
But you'd be correct.
Only reason I didn't reply sooner was because I've been skipping a few threads to help relatives that have visited.

Well...if he has another machine, he can download the ISO from there. Otherwise he'll have to ask some friends.

Try Diagnostics And Recovery Toolset from MS. It`s an ISO for rescuing XP installations in cases like yours. Raymond has written about before.

Well, the Wondershare giveaway a few weeks ago offered a VERY good PE. I guess you haven't grabbed that, so never mind. Just download SARDU and you'll find there are a LOT of good PEs (XP, Vista, 7) that it offers.
Don't have to download SARDU. Here are the links:
LiveXP - http://reboot.pro/forum/52/
BartPE - http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/
UBCD4WIN - http://www.ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm
I personally find the third one best. Good luck.
