Does trial version harms your machine
I have one doubt. Dont know it is just co incidence or truth I think trial version of internet security software harms machine........
I had use trial version of internet security ( which runs for 3 monts & 6 months ) twice before and both time my motherboard and harddisc got crashed.
Now same problem with my friend and cousin. One of my cousin used 12 months paid service of internet security software and he had no problem during that time but when he used trial version his motherboard got crashed.
Is my conclusion wrong or anybody had gone through same experience

i have used quite a few trials in my time and nothing to note, heavy use of the hard disk can have an effect on the life of the drive, to be honest i would worry more about air flow around the pc case and good house keeping, a good removal software is important to prevent conflicting issues with security suites or install issues..
The only way to be sure is to have a database of users with similar problems, although i have never had the same issues after many years of trials.

I'd rather be fishing!
Whenever I install trial software to have a look at it, I always create a system image beforehand. That way if I don't like it I can restore my computer back to exactly the way it was. Unistalling software always seems to leave files and registry entries behind and over time they can affect the performance of your PC.

Certainly it is, especially if the software has hidden bugs. For security software, a simple buggy activation scheme may render it useless and prevent you from installing like app in the future. Apart from the said one, security softwares namely its dedicated blacklisting feature, has been infamous for being aggressive, unreliable and may attack your harmless OS which is directly stupendous.
Don't forget that every time you put new stuff inside your OS, there will always be some messy leftovers, and tracing and sweeping it one by one, is not, so easy task for everyone!

I'm not sure what you mean by "motherboard crashed". Did you had to replace your motherboard or was it just a system crash? Anyway, trial versions is exactly the same as paid versions with the exception of the time period you are allowed to use it. So the simple answer to your question is "No".

A trial internet security software does NOT harm your machine. However, depending on which software you're using, you may have memory issues and CPU usage issues which CAN sometimes crash a system. That's the reason why I always tell my friends to stay away from internet security software which have high memory and CPU usage, such as Kaspersky, no matter how good they might be.
The bottom line is, if your computer can't take it, don't bother.

Point taken, that's another story. Well, I guess a good system diagnostic test may bring some light on this issue.

Don't forget there are trials of internet security software on just about all new machines from the likes of Dell & HP etc. If it was true, 99% of new those PC's would be dead within the security software's 60 day trial period!!
If you have, or want to try a security software trial, it's worth getting the specific removal tool as well to help get rid of the junk these things always leave behind.

I had to remove MS Office trial and Mcafee when I purchased a new system.
