    Netlimiter to view what process is using/connecting the internet.
    Keyscrambler to encrypt your keystrokes so that software keylogger fail to log what you type.

    The free version of KeyScrambler only protects your web browser.
    Only the Premium version protects most popular applications.

    in addition to the advices posted by Raymond I would add sandboxie, you can use it for free (with some limitations) and you can surf quite safely as MSE doesn't provide a web protection.
    If you use Firefox you'd better to use "no script" add on.

    +1 for Sandboxie.

    I would also suggest using a Standard User Account for everyday use.

    hxxp://msmvps.com/blogs/harrywaldron/archive/2010/05/20/windows-security-build-another-standard-account-for-safety-from-most-malware-attacks.aspx

    Plus enable SEHOP, and DEP for all programs.

    ================================

    Sorry about the links, I had to mung them due to posting restrictions for new members. Just replace hxxp with http at the beginning of each link.

    If you use Sandboxie suggested by leofelix, pair it together with Buster Sandbox Analyzer

    Remember guys. Too many tools slow down a computer...

    @Stranger: I would suggest you change the Windows Firewall to something better like the Comodo Firewall or Outpost. Use WOT in your browser and Sandboxie to run programs. Keep MBAM and/or SAS free for on-demand scanning. And it is a MUST to have a good Antivirus rescue disk ready. Good luck
