    Cool AdBlock plus Queries??

I ve been seeing flashes of adds b4 Adblock plus blocks it.

    "I think..."
essentially, it loads the adds and just doesnt display them.
Waste of my bandwidth, if so.

    Am i mistaken??
Adblock plus is the best adblocking software i know .

    Any trustworthy Alternatives??

I am not sure whether I understood your request correctly.
If you use Firefox you may add "no script" and "Flash block" add ons

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashblock/

If you use Chrome (ad block plus beta and similar extensions for Chrome do hide ads only)
You may add "No scripts" and Flash Block" for Chrome
    https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/odjhifogjcknibkahlpidmdajjpkkcfn
    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gofhjkjmkpinhpoiabjplobcaignabnl?hc=search&hcp=main

    I hope it helps
    Roger and out

    On chrome:
    Flash block is good. But,
Not script, i`m getting headaches trying to get what i need displayed and the rest blocked unlike Adblock plus, there is no pre-configured blocking files.(Refering to "subscriptions" like fanboys).

Ok here is my 2 cents advice just allow the main site then others. Suppose you are visiting google.com first in noscript allow google.com then watch is it working or not. If not then allow gstatic and so on. Most of the time allowing main site works. If there is some widgets you need to allow or temporary allow it .
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

    NoScript.

You will notice that websites loads much faster as the advertisements are not even downloaded to your computer in the first place, saving both bandwidth and time.

    Thanks to everybody who replied...

There is no No-script on Chrome, only Not-script???

Chromes hasn't released sufficient low level API's, i guess...

+ the hassle of testing noscript on each site i visit 4 the first time...
Will still give it a try.

Switched to chrome for speed, not going back to firefox till they catch up.

    Already fixing filesonic probs...

Not sure if you can use those^ Blocklists in Not Scripts Chrome, since I do not use Chrome but the latest Ad Block Plus extension for Chrome now blocks the Ad from downloading. Be sure to Subscribe to a Filter. I'd advise to go with [url=http://www.fanboy.co.nz/]Fanboy's List, since it is updated regularly and is effective.
