    "Battery View" Help

I have been following Raymond's Blog for a long time now... I absolutely love it.

I have a Dell Laptop (Inspiron 1525) and It's battery is DEAD and I'm running it Always ON AC Power. After reading the Battery Info View Post, I just thought I would give it a try just to see how bad My laptop's battery condition is. I am unable to decipher anything from the information given by that piece of software. Can someone put it in Layman terms for me to understand. Thank You.

Well... i'm not an expert. Nevertheless, being in the same situation, when I first run the BatteryInfoView Utility I was looking for the capacity of my battery. I found out that the designed capacity was: 49.060 mWh.
Well... as I was expecting, the current capacity (and my battery now is at full charge!!) is 4.5 mWh.
This means that my battery (I think) is dead.
In other words, it has no more capacity. If you think at your battery as a sink, and at the current as a water flow.... well, your sink is almost full of dirty stuff. There is no more room for water/current. It has no more capacity...
But let us wait for some more technical answers...
    Hope it helps somehow...

PS: I didn't know the expression you used: "Layman terms"! I liked it...

The battery is worn out and cannot be charged further, leaving it with very little power.

You could remove the battery and try inserting it again, could be a bad contact
