Does anyone know what an encdisk is

Norton reports it is not working properly

Device Type: Encdisk
Device Status: Device is not present, not working properly, or does not have all of its drivers installed
Plug and Play ID:ROOT\LEGACY_ENCDISK\0000

I did look in device manager and I can't see anything that isn't working right. Some devices don't have drivers, but I am guessing they don't need them. No red marks in device manager.I still have an insurance policy on this computer so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

(encdisk) probably stands for the encrypted disk. If all goes well and there is nothing odd in the device manager, then no need to make any changes..
