    Alt+F4 Shutdown window

    Hi
    the Alt+F4 shutdown wimndow would it be possible to create a desktop shortcut to open the shutdown window it really is much nicer then the shutdown options in start menu in win 7

    Create a batch file with the following command:
    shutdown /s

    Not sure if there is such command.
    What I can think of is to use a macro software, probably autoit to create a batch of command
    WIN+M + 1 second delay + Alt+F4
    That should be sufficient to fit your demands.

    Raymond, in Windows 7, you need to add '/t time' because otherwise, it defaults to 30 seconds.

    prwe, be careful with that shortcut, because it will not close just windows on your system anymore, but shut down your computer. If you want a better shortcut, use one that isn't so common.
