    I need help with ----> restrictions on starting a computer .

    Hi ,

    Here's the situation :

    1. School has started .

    2. A colleague has a child and a .... computer .

    3. Child loves games .... mostly PC games ( ) and after then school games .

    4. My colleague thought to hide the power cable .... daily ..... but he quickly realized that the child can find or buy a power cable .

    6. Because my colleague doesn't want to happen daily something like : , he was thinking about the following ( let me give an example ) :

    - Between 18.00 (day before) and 16.59 (current day) to start the computer requires a password ;
    - At 17.00 the computer does not prompt for password at startup ;
    - At 18.00 the computer turns off automatically and a new start request the password again .

    Simply:
    - Daily between 17.00 and 18.00, the computer can be used without requesting a password at startup ;
    - At 18.00 the computer turns off automatically and if he (the computer ) is started at 18.01 it will require a password .

    How we do that ? Thanks in advance for your answer .

    Best regards !

    Just to make sure, the problem is the use of the computer itself and games played on it off-line? Also, what is the OS?

    Couldn't that man simply create a limited user account for his son?
    advantages:
    1) That child won't be able to access his father account
    2) that child won't be able to harm
    Roger and out

Please see my PS ( in first post ) and tell us if there are other ''viruses'' ( like those posted by me ) with which we must be careful / we must keep our eyes on them .
