It seems that the classical BSOD screen is to be replaced by a sad face:

What do you guys think? Do you like the move or feel like Microsoft is just hiding thet truth from users?

I would like to see a change that's for sure and a better description as to why it was caused, more so i would like a warning to say installing this software or hardware may result in an unhappy camper.
The truth is i would prefer none at all.
Thank you student although it's not what MS wants to use to launch their new O/S
my experience with 7 has been great and don't expect to see this screen, lets hope the experience is shared with more people with 8
It's hard to blame MS anymore and i think the blame is more with the software writers and vendors drivers.
While I would like some info (that can be fairly understood by the average users) to be presented, having a sad face displayed is better than the current look.
They call me the mysterious one...
my motto is...when it's hot, chill baby
I read these news earlier somewhere at web. 2 Way street. That new BSOD is so soooooooft and approachable compared to old BSOD.
I understand that MS need to go forward and change things, but question. Is there really need to change this kind of part at all? If your computer runs fine and everything works normally, you get this BSOD like "once" at year. And that rare time when your Windows crash totally, in my opinion it would be REALLY nice to see old, legendary BSOD screen and get some great smile on your face![]()

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain!
M$ could just blame it on the user by this message "You broke it, noob."

A smiley face still doesn't tell you the bloody problem!!! Just the other day i was sorting out a friends laaptop because it would randomly just blue screen. Turns out it was his wireless card drivers but i found this out really easy by using a little freeware tool called BlueScreenView, recommended for every body to stick on your usb stick...![]()
