Add-on for page translation - Firefox.

    Hallo, my dear forum friends...

Since ever, I've used google chrome when I have to browse on web-pages not written in English.
I am here to ask you if you know an add-on for firefox that will allow me to easily browse foreign-pages, like google chrome does.
I've tried several add-ons (by now I'm using the "Online translator toolbar vers. 1.3.7.15), but no-one behaves like Google-chrome.
Please, tell me which one do you use...

    I thank you in advance!

Mmh... thanx anyway, but I don't want to select text or extra windows in which paste sentences... I would like to browse with all the page already translated. I would like simple to have every page in English, no matter what is the original language; and almost forget about it!
    Like I do in GoogleChrome...

An old outdated method which I am still using today is with Google Toolbar.
All I need to do is set the default language to translate in the options and whenever I am on a foreign page, clicking the Translate button will do just that.

Yes. This was the method I was using before. I have to read again your paper on forcing compatibility, because I've now FF7 and apparently there is no Google toolbar for it.
However, I didn't like this method too much, because of the "pushing the button" issue. But if it is the only way...

And I have to check now the other advice: Translation Bookmarklets. Never heard about that.

    Thanx, my friends.

    you can try GoogleBar lite
    https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/googlebar-lite/

it works fine, better than Google Toolbar (no longer supported) and it is just an add on

    Ciao leofelix!
I gave a really fast look at googlebar lite, but I coudn't find how to translate a web-page by a simple click.
By now, I am just coming back to the "out-dated" google toolbar.
I will go more in deep later with the "lite" version, hoping there is that function as well...
    Thank you.

    My dear Leofelix,

I always use English for computer related stuff!

Now... a question for you: I've seen that in "Language Tools" and "Translate a web page" you can then navigate throughout the translated page; and that's pretty fine. I think I'm going to use this way. Is it sure that there is no way of adding in the GoogleToolbar a button to automatically detect the foreign language and translate it into English?
    Cheers!
