    he whirring hard drives that once occupied entire university labs held but a fraction of the data we carry in our pockets every day — and that’s only 50 years of progress.Today, as we move further into the cloud, and witness the latest and greatest pocket media devices, we thought it fitting to take a look back at how far we’ve come on our quest to store as much information in as little space as possible.

    Nostalgia, anyone here who used to owned a 2.5Gb HD? Oh, even my very own pendrive has 16GB capacity.

    i have seen few of the development and also the price reduction of them..
    have a 500 gb transcend HD and 8 gb Moserbear Pen drive.. with CD, Cassettes....

    life was much easier when the human race were using Abacus..

    Thanks for the stroll down memory lane Indra. I do indeed remember most of these advances in technoolgy.

    @ ceyfer Yup, in fact I still have an old PC stored in the garage that runs off dual floppy drives!

    I remember having 0 hard drive and using just floppies

    I remember getting floppy discs for Christmas when I as a child. I got to say that the USB drive is a significant improvement over floppies. The only thing that the floppy was better at were double entendres
