Copy and paste stopped working in explorer.
Dear all,
Here is my problem.
I've run a tool named D7 (portable); but after having done almost anything, I just uninstalled it.
Before the D7 uninstallation, I have encountered the problem in object.
Copy and paste is working if I work by command line (cmd). And it is working within the office application as well.
Simply, I can't do what in this short video you can see.
I spent a couple of hours trying to find a workaround but nothing has helped. I hope some of you has something useful to share with me.
Lastly, I don't have a useful restore point. I had a bunch of problem today (never uninstall Heimdal Pro by using third part sw; I used Your Uninstaller! and I experienced a lot of problems)...
Cheers,
Lello.Siddi.

OK. Solved.
I uninstalled tera-copy and that has solved the issue.
Who knows what happened...

... and re-installing tera-copy the problem appears again!

Give link to this D7 software ? What is it meant for ?
A simple method will be system restore to a date before you tried D7.

Oh, yeah... I know that. But actually system restore simply didn't work. I tried in the end.
Anyway, here is the link: http://www.foolishit.com

Although this D7 software has potential, it seems to be very buggy and the few times I have tried it, I seem to have had to sort out some issues it caused or left behind.
Run sfc /scannow, looks like a popular attempt at a fix, so it's worth a go.
Run this tool to see if a program has a lock on the clipboard.
Do the keyboard shortcuts work (Ctrl-c / Ctrl-v)?
I think a '-' between the 'h' and the 'i' in the website name might have been a good idea!

Definitely!
:P
Well, as I told, I've tried some workarounds as the ones that you're suggesting, but nothing worked.
That tool says that there is no problems.
The keyboard shortcuts didn't work in explorer. But, as I told, within office application or notepad they were OK.
By now, everything is working. Although I had to uninstall tera-copy!
I don't know why, but if I install again tera-copy, the issue appear again.
Cheers!

You may have already tried, but there are a few options in Teracopy to play around with the copy handler settings which may or may not help. Having it do manual copy operations may be better than nothing I guess...
There's also another good free copy tool called Copy Handler.

Thanx for the advices; I'm going to give a try to Copy Handler (I just tried again with tera-copy, but nothing. Plus, I did not figure out how to "play around with the copy handler settings")...

TeraCopy by default registers itself as copy handler. Meaning that drag and drop files or copy and paste in Explorer will automatically trigger TeraCopy.
To disable TeraCopy's Copy Handler, run TeraCopy, click the More button at the bottom left, then click the Menu button at the bottom right and select Preferences.
Uncheck "Use TeraCopy as default copy handler".

Thank you for the explanation. However, once I install teracopy, I experience again the same problem as in the video.
I really don't know what happened.
Cheers.
