New google look.

My dear friends,
I've got some questions about the new google look.

1) I have not understood why the new look is not always there. Some times I log in in google and - simply - the old look appears. Is this something happening also to you?

2) When the new look works, if I log in my GMAIL account, the upper bar is missing. So, I can not switch the account or simply log out from the current one. Is this happening to some one? Maybe AdBlock is blocking something? Mmmh... I am going to try with a fresh Firefox profile... but still the first fact is irritating me...

there maybe several factors responsible for this. first and foremost, if you have a slow connection then this can happen. if you do not have a slow connection, then i guess something is causing the connection to get slow, like firewall or some bandwidth-consuming processes or it may be some addons in the browser like adblock. it happens sometimes when i'm using opera in turbo mode on my slow connection desktop. if none of the above factors match, consider tuning your firefox and see if it works.

Really? So you think that, when I'm experiencing a slow connection, automatically the old fashion google is loaded (because it is lighter)...
It can be. I'm checking this and other possible factors.

So far the new Google look has been showing up all the time.
When this is happening, try temporarily disable Adblock and then do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) to reload the page.

I did several times what you've suggested. It does not seem to be any correlation between ad-block and the phenomenon.
Most of the time, I am with old look. Sometimes appear the new ones.

But anyway what I would like to know was expressed in the second question, related to the gmail account.
With the new look, do you still have a bar in the Upper area? I can see just a black strip.. and no way to switch the user or to log out?

Clear cookies, private data etc and give it a try. Hope you are not using iGoogle.

Never used iGoogle. Thanx for the advices, but nothing changed.
