Confused Windows automatically logged me off

    Hi everyone.

I was using my laptop yesterday, when I was suddenly logged off the machine, without any reason. I loged back into my machine and checked Event Viewer. This is what I'm getting:

The Desktop Window Manager was unable to start because a composited theme is not in use.

Could this be the cause of my problem, and if so what does it actually mean?

    Thanks.

    Elliott.

It is possible that someone has logged in to your computer using RDP.
Do you know anyone in your network that has that access?

Hi, and thanks for your reply.

This wouldn't have been possible; as far as I know, RDP isn't available in Win 7 Home Premium, and noone else on the network would have had access.

    Thanks.

Did you install recently some new drivers, programms, system tools, or, did you change registry, some settings, msconfig...?

    Hi.

Nope; I haven't installed or changed anything when it happened.

    Thanks.

Try to load comp using safe mode, press F8 during startup before Windows boot screen, select "Safe mode" and press "Enter".

    Hi.

Thanks, but the problem isn't that this is happening every time I boot Windows; it was a one-off, so the reason I asked was that I wasn't sure if it was something that I should be concerned about.

    Thanks.
