Don't forget most people in Western countries are well educated, bryan1988.
And Asia, I think you are saying China, right?
China surely is one of the biggest sources of pirated products, because of its largest population in the world.
I have been living in China since 12 years old, so I know quite well what the Chinese are doing in the internet. Still, I don't think they are wrong, because some software like Microsoft Windows and Office series are so so so expensive...

In China, they can pirate nearly everything! I think it depends on how strict the government is.
Sometimes, I think pirating is a way to promote products. Like what Microsoft said, if you want to pirate, please make sure you're pirating Windows products.

in my country one Windows Vista or Office 2007 costs 4 €uro/DVD and all movies, appz, music, games etc, are pirated and all CD-Shops download them from internet and sell to people who dont now warez sites...:o
In my country dont have original VISTA or Office:(
I like warez...:D:D

Who is it that actually looks out for piracy on the internet? Is it the FBI, that would be my guess, but I was thinking that there might be some other organization.

BTW, do you have the URL for the original topic from Microsoft that enticed people to pirate their Windows products?

I think in some countries it's really easy to buy software, the money that you expend either if your income is the minimun wages, you can affort the original product; now in other countries people don't get to much money to buy something because the income it's really low, so the best way to get a good software it's downloaded from these sites, and the goverment's country don't put any santion for people to perform such actions they already know that; so i think it's not too bad for poor and for people that it's reach well they have to pay because they have money in other words.
