Black Screen

hi i hope this isnt off topic but everytime when i go to play a game from steam which is a game client like counter strike when i go into the game and the loading screen shows up it shows for about 2 seconds and everything goes black as i wait white steams start to go across the screen and then this error comes up cannot read momery from ********* to ******** something like that or an xfire error comes up but the only for me to coop with this is to minimize the screen before the black or loading screen comes up but when i get into the game it runs fine (thats after counter the time of when it takes the game to load so it bypasses the black screen) so things run fine but when a new match is starting the black screen comes up again and crashes the whole game and the error comes up but another way of cooping with it is for me to minimize the screen and open it back up just before the game starts and then everything runs fine no black screen but sometimes that doesnt work the game freezez and the error or xfire error comes up soo im hoping that if u guys can help me out with this if soo i can add more details of after trying to look very hard but yet i still need help so plz help me

Try resetting the resolution on counter strike

no i mean it might be the L2 cache that i have its not connected to the proccesor itself so it might be the problem or since im using a labtop i have a 3d media accelirator card and im using a compact computer and im trying to make it work sorry for bad english i dont live in america so i cant speak english well or bad other stuff sorry
