First off, as my first post to this forum, I want to say thank you, Raymond, for your wonderful blog! I've only recently stumbled upon your articles, but Raymond.CC has already become one of my favorite reference sites. :)

Anyway, on to my question: What do you guys recommend for P2P software (for music purposes mostly)?

MP3 downloader sites (such as Seek A Song) are good but they're kind of limited to what's recent or popular, and I really only use torrents to download programs or full albums. Currently, I use LimeWire and it's definitely the fastest P2P I've used to date, but one quickly gets sick of all the false, damaged, and/or infected files. I've tried eMule but I don't really care for the setup and it has problems staying connected on my computer (where nothing else seems to have such a problem). I also have Ares Ultra, but for some reason it just leaves me wondering if there's something better out there.

    So, any thoughts??

I've tried the special Google search as well, but it's much like online MP3 downloaders for me, wherein I can find what I'm looking for if it's popular enough but if it's something older or not necessarily as mainstream/widely known, I can have a much harder time finding it online. That's where I prefer P2Ps.

If I need to look for a single MP3, I think the best is Ares. Actually Ares and Limewire are using the same network but don't know why Limewire is displaying so many fake files.

You could try Shareaza 'cause it was once a very popular P2P program, but nowdays nobody seems to use it, heh. Also I heard good things 'bout SoulSeek. So, google 'em up and maybe you'll like 'em. Cheers!
