Why does Norton Anti-virus react weird?

Today, when I started my PC up I got several little Norton Antivirus windows coming up saying something about e-mail proxy,

Everytime I close one it re-appears again and i does this to such an extent it covers up my whole screen after about half an hour of the little windows opening and closing it stops and then it suddenly starts 30 mins later.

Later I restarted my PC the same problem occured?

Why is this?

It looks like your email client is keep on trying to send email when it can't be sent.

I think you got this error message from a computer in a company. Try checking with your administrator on the SMTP and also proxy server.
