i had my laptop formatted (many months ago..) and installed two windows xp. There was is little problem in which, when i power on the laptop and it loads windows, it does not showthe log-in progress. In fact, it totally skipps it and ' automaticaly' enters the default admistrator account . Even if i setted up a password for the admin account, it still does not prompt for user name and password.
This was'nt a problem for me, as hardly any one but brother and I use it.
But now, with christmas and all, my house is often visited by relatives---WHICH means little brat cousins. One of the bastards actually got hold of my laptop and actaully managed delete stuff (maybe he moved the files, i dont know yet...)
Soooo, here i am, asking : How do get rid of them?!
........only joking.....my real question is : How do i fix this login problem?
Tell the truth and shame the Devil.

Do you have "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" unchecked?

Well, I never really used RUN until I joined this site and now i know about :
msconfig , ipconfig (cmd), mrt and the latest addition which you gave me, control userpassword2.
I did do a search and found this site : http://www.fixmyxp.com/content/view/20/42/
