hard disk problems...

For the past week i have been having problems installing xp...
booted from disc and each disc i try my pc refuses it,meaning it just keeps saying cannot find hard disk or check and see if hard disk is pluged in properly its very weird because when i try vista it works actually my pc came with vista...
here is the list of xp operating systems i tryed
lastxp 16
lastxp 17
Dark xp v6
xp sp2
xp performance edition
i more thing they all works on any other pc... thanx in advance :)

I think you have a SATA hard drive which you'll need sata drivers when it ask you if you'd like to install any third party hard drive drivers. You can check your motherboard manufacturer's website for the sata drivers.

Thats right, I agree with Ray. Disable it in BIOS and try your problem will be done.

True, true. Disable SATA ACHI mode under Integrated Peripherals in BIOS because it's not supported by Windows XP.

i try to install windows xp to my acer aspire m5600 but can't.how can i disable SATA ACHI and change it to IDE.can u teach me.
