wuauclt.exe error

while i was online, an error with wuauclt.exe pop out occur, but when i click it pop out again and then it restart my pc. whats that wuauclt.exe? is it a virus Ray?

wuauclt.exe is a Windows Update client. If you have Automatic Updates turned on, it'll appear in your task manager. Check what is the filesize of your wuauclt.exe in C:\WINDOWS\system32. Mine is 51.8KB.

Same here 51.8, but why did it always pop out, ive turn off my update,

Even after turning off Automatic Windows Update, wuauclt.exe error still pops out?

Try turning off the Automatic Updates in the Services section of Mircosoft Windows XP. It starts, stops, and configures Windows services.

Use Run > type "services.msc" > OK to go there.

the only thing thats bugging me is the error goes out thrice, then automatically restart my pc, ive also seen 3 updates installed on my system
