I am not sure if you can "downgrade" from Vista to XP.
But you sure can have Vista and XP on the same computer.
    Please check out this article.

I tried to make it a dual boot but xp could not see my new partition. Now the drivers don't work so it don't see the drive at all. I am not sure I have the right drivers, I could use some help with this.

I went from Vista to XP last week. I though SP1 was going to bring a big chnage but it didn't, it actuallr made it worst since my Wireless card wasn't working with SP1 but it was working with the SP1 RC2 so I just decided to do a fresh install and I am now running XP.

You can try what Raymond said but I think is better if you dust do a fresh install but make sure to backup your files. I can now play CS again.

If XP installation could not see your hard drive, this article might be helpful.

Finally got the right drivers for my Toshiba and was able to get XP installed. Intel has a very helpful web site. I used easybcd and have the dual boot up and running. Everything seams to be working fine. Great site thanks for all your help.
