Hi all, im back with another new problem
It is my File Sharing problem. I just reinstalled SP3 over SP2 but now i can't access sharing folders as in for eg:
\\(name)
in my Run command
Ive googled it a whole day and cant fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have:
enabled my ip routing
netbios settings enabled to TCP/IP
my internet just working fine (LAN)
SP3 (still quite newly installed)
firewall settings restore to default
using avira premium security suite
I tried to enter my own sharing folder but it says:
---------------------------
(mycomputername)
---------------------------
\\(mycomputername)\Movies is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Incorrect function.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I am kinda desperate of this. Anyone can help please? Thanks!

Did you check out Event Viewer for any errors ? The Event ID will help solve it and it may have a link to MS KB article on how to solve it.
A little bit of googling got me these :
Goto regedit
Locate and then double-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
On the right side, double-click restrictanonymous.
Make sure that the value in the Value data box is set to 0, and then click OK.
Close Registry Editor.
Restart the computer.
If the above doesn't work,
goto Control Panel ---> Network Connection----->Local Area connection -----> Local Area Connection----->Properties
Highlight file and printer sharing for Microsoft Network
uninstall
reinstall back again

Thanks for the reply, prash. Apparently I didnt manage to do ur changes (the 3links) as I had consulted to my CITS engineer. He just installed me a suitable VPN and voila.
Thanks anyway. I really appreciate that.
