After certain ammount of time, applications from quick launch bar do not start
Hi All...
I have a problem like this [url=http://forum.raymond.cc/general-forum/6354-cant-run-applications-after-certain-ammount-of-time.html]TheAceOfHearts user and I read that post but, This not help me...
So, I decide to post about my trouble...
I Use a PC with Windows XP, FireFox, PC Tools AV...
When Iīm using my computer, after a few minutes of use, some applications from Quick Launch Bar do not start properly.
For Example, if I click on Windows Explorer Icon, it will start but, I canīt see it... Then i run the task manager and I see it .:

I Have other softwares that do the same .: MPlayer, AcdSee, DVDShrink, Firefox do this some times, and many others...
I Think this is an error from Task Bar or from Windows. I donīt know...
Does Anybody see it and can helps me to solve this ?ŋ
Tks...

This is weird. When I launch multiple instances of Explorer I still only have the one process in Taskmanager, it is only the amount of memory used that change. I'm thinking virus.
I refuse to tip toe through life only to arrive safely at death

Well, I donīt think itīs a virus but, I Run some AV softwares anyway and found nothing...
I Run a register cleaner and found no errors so, I donīt know what to do
about this...

When you launch the application directly from the source does it start ie. C:\Windows\Explorer.exe

Solved !!!
Some of the applications starts fine, others no...
But, I Found the Solution for this...
I read a post from Manny Carvalho ( on this link ) and he says that .:
""The proxy desktop is related to windows Explorer freezing. If you open Task Manager you should see multiple instances of Explorer.exe. Ending the processes in Task Manager should stop the error message.
There's a rather obfuscated explanation at MSDN , under remarks.
In addition, please untick .:
Windows Explorer >Tools > Folder Options > View > Launch folder windows in a separate process
and see if that helps. Having this on is supposed to increase system stability by opening each folder in a separate part of memory. But sometimes performance takes a hit and may be related to this problem. Experiment!
""
I Do this, and works fine for me...
So, Thanks to you Odie for your help and Thanks to Manny Carvalho for this solution...
I Hope This post right rehe helps more people too...
