    There's a lot of settings here that i'm not using for sure.Would they be to harsh on a user?

    i think not if you are still starting to browse the net its better tobe secure than to lose some personal date while surfing the net,

    Even though many IE settings are self-explanatory, there are too many settings.
    So just use FF and have any Internet Security Suite like KIS or NIS for safety.

    Please don't bring back old topics but you are right Firefox is the best. And when you have KIS on the same computer then all you need then is some common sense not to download the wrong files and run them no matter what KIS says.
