static vs dynamic IP OPINIONS
i had a static IP and had it switched to a dyn to use cryptload and other programs easier. After setting up a home netowrk i now have a static again. I can change back to dynamic free but to go from dyn to stat is 15$ extraa a month. What if any issues will this cuase on a home network. This was never an issue when i had 1 pc but will thing like my network printer and PSP connect. I'd think the printer would its connected to the router. OR can this mess up any bluetooth items i may have. i am assuming that as long as i know the IP at the time things like PSP or if i neeed to remote connect will be fine. i also like bieng able to change for security purposes

Well things should work right on a dynamic IP. Dynamic IPs are better in my opinion because it is difficult for a hacker to have to keep getting your IP. Static IPs are easier for a hacker to hack because they just need to know your IP address and being static they don't have to keep finding out your IP or trick you into downloading a trojan. Dynamic IPs shouldn't mess up your stuff. If it cost more to get a dynamic IP then just don't bother if you have good internet security that will protect you.

I agree with Brayden..
Dynamic IP all the way! It's harder for hackers to hack your specific PC but easier for them to hack.

NO NO it is free to switch to dynamic which i liked when i had the 1 puter. If i decide to switch from stat to dyn then back to stat its 15 extra a month to go back. I just was not sure that say i changed my ip on the dynamic if that would mess up settings on like my PSP if playing on line.
