Rules of making a webpage..
Ermm, I'm trying to make a webpage here but i would like to know a few things.
- If i get free template and modify it, do I have to still put the creator name on the template?
- Can i paste any image i found in the web on my webpage(without linking back to them, bcoz i downloaded the image and upload it myself)?
- Please post any guide on the rules of making website here for me if possible so that i can get a better picture of it.
Thanks in advance

1. Yes (if you make small changes)
2. Yes but give credit to them(not required but it's a good habit
) and other thing is don't waste their bandwidth (always download image to your PC and then upload that image to your site).
3. Don't copy and paste others articles . If are going to write anything that you found in other blog, link back to them (this is another good habit).
You can find more rules here and here.

- If your FREE template requires you to leave the author's name then yes. You could be prosecuted or fined. If it doesnt require you or you have PAID or asked permission that you can remove it, then you can remove it
- Hard one.. because some would say that you are breaking the copyright law and someout say the 'fair use' law. Meaning that you can use x amount of images from a certain website (i read it somewhere but i'm not able to find it.. Sorry)
- Make sure the website is not over loaded with colors.
- Make sure that it's spaced out nicely
- Make sure that the info on it is accurate
- If you are going to use animation. Dont use too much. One per page is enouth
- Visitors must know what your website is going to contain so choose your domain wizely
- Provide quality. Not quanity
- Make sure your visitors can navigate around your webpage with ease
- Dont make visitors wait. Make sure it loads up fast (meaning less images and videos)
- Dont 'long' it out, visotrs hate to scroll..
- Make sure it's easy on the eyes so space it out
